Artfully pleasing to the eye and mechanically satisfying to the mind, X-Metal is both disruptive and beautiful.

Always seeking a fresh perspective and new ideas I reached out and collaborated with an incredibly innovative, So. Cal. based, footwear design agency that specializes in performance and 3-D prototyping.
My goal was to create two new sport performance categories for Oakley's footwear that aligned with Oakley's sport performance eyewear. The result is an innovative collection of performance running and training shoes that reflect the brand's DNA, as well as, technical execution of concept and materials.
Oakley's R-Frame and T-Frame focus on light weight eyewear frame technology for the shoe's chassis structure. Made from Carbon Fiber, the "Frame" system stabilizes the heel for lateral support, provides arch support of running and offers stability and torsion for explosive training.
